Privacy Policy
PropBrief
Effective date: September 1, 2026
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PropBrief collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use www.joinpropbrief.com, propbrief.polsia.app, and related pages, forms, and accounts (the “Service”).
If you have questions or want to exercise a privacy right, email propbrief@polsia.app.
1. Who we are
PropBrief publishes city guides for prospective student pilots (currently Phoenix and Las Vegas) and runs a school-match waitlist. We may introduce waitlist applicants to flight schools in those metros. Flight schools may buy a short, invoice-only featured listing.
We are not a flight school. We do not provide flight instruction, aircraft, insurance, medicals, checkrides, dual given, endorsements, or logbook entries. We do not take student card payments or discovery-flight deposits on the Service.
Operator: PropBrief
Privacy contact: propbrief@polsia.app
2. Information we collect

- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Metro (for example Phoenix or Las Vegas)
- Airport preference (optional)
- Training goal
- Timeline
- Budget
- Notes / free-text message
- Your consent checkbox: that PropBrief may share the submission with named schools to help find a match

Account (if you create one)

- Email address
- Password
- Role or goal fields you choose to provide (for example student training goal)
Email and other contact
You may email us at propbrief@polsia.app. We keep the contents of that correspondence as needed to respond.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we and our hosting providers may collect:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and general location derived from IP
- Pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps
- Cookies, local storage, or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences (for example light/dark mode)
- A unique visitor identifier stored in local storage (
polsia_vid) and sent to Polsia on page views via an image beacon (polsia.com/api/beacon/pixel), so Polsia can operate and debug the application
We do not currently run Meta ads, Google Ads, advertising pixels (including the Meta Pixel), or student payment checkout on the public site. We do use the Polsia product-analytics beacon described above.
Information we do not collect on the public site
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or government ID through the Service for students. School featured-listing fees are invoiced off-site (check, bank, or card handled outside the public site). City-guide price tables reproduceschool-published public prices as research references; those figures are not amounts charged by PropBrief.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Record and respond to school-match waitlist requests
- Introduce you to one or more flight schools when a relevant match step exists (see Section 4)
- Operate city guides and featured listings
- Create and maintain accounts (if any)
- Bill and communicate with schools about featured listings (invoice-only)
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service
- Comply with law and protect PropBrief, users, schools, and the public
We do not use personal information to sell a data list, and we do not sell personal information.
We do not use waitlist phone numbers for PropBrief marketing texts.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here.
With flight schools (waitlist introductions)
If you submit the school-match waitlist and check the consent box, we may share your submission (name, email, phone if provided, metro, airport preference, training goal, timeline, budget, and notes) with flight schools connected to that request.
In this test, “named schools” means:
- Schools listed on the city guide for the metro you selected, and/or
- A featured-listing school for that metro that has asked to receive waitlist introductions, and/or
- Specific schools you name in your notes or that we confirm with you by email before sharing
We make manual introductions (typically by email). We aim for a small set of schools (often one to three) rather than blasting every school in the directory. What a school does with your information after they receive it is their responsibility. PropBrief does not control that school’s privacy practices.
If you do not check the consent box, we will not use the waitlist form to share your submission with schools. You can still email propbrief@polsia.app.
With service providers (subprocessors)
We use vendors to host and operate the Service. They process personal information only to provide their services:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Polsia (polsia.com) | Application platform that provisions hosting, database, and related infrastructure, and a product-analytics beacon |
| Render | Website hosting |
| Neon | Postgres database |
| Google Workspace email for joinpropbrief.com (including messages we send and receive) |
We do not currently use Stripe or Meta ads on the public site. If we turn those on, we will update this policy.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction involving PropBrief. In that case we will take reasonable steps to keep the information protected.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. City guides and public content
City guides may list school names, airports, phone numbers, emails, and school-published discovery / intro prices with a date and source link. That content is public research material, not a PropBrief price quote and not an offer by PropBrief to sell a flight.
Do not put information in waitlist notes that you do not want shared with schools (for example a Social Security number, passport image, or medical record).
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Service is a typical web application. It may use:
- Session or authentication cookies / local storage to keep you logged in
- Preference storage (for example theme)
polsia_vidin local storage, a unique visitor identifier used with the Polsia product-analytics beacon described in Section 2. This is not an advertising cookie.
You can block cookies in your browser. If you do, some features (including staying signed in) may not work.
We do not use advertising cookies during this test. The Polsia beacon is a product-analytics pixel for operating the application, not a Meta or Google ads pixel.
7. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to operate the Service, follow up on waitlist and school inquiries, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
If you ask us to delete your information, we will delete or de-identify personal information we control, except where we must keep a record (for example an introduction email already sent to a school, or information we are required by law to retain).
Passwords (if you have an account) are stored so that we can authenticate you. We do not use your password for any other purpose.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small web application, including hosting and database providers listed above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not send highly sensitive information (medical records, passport scans, Social Security numbers) through waitlist notes or ordinary email.
9. Age
The Service (including the school-match waitlist) is for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted a waitlist request or created an account, email propbrief@polsia.app and we will delete it.
10. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), including the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
We do not sell personal information. We also do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. Introducing you to a flight school with your consent so they can contact you about training is a business purpose disclosure, not a sale of a data list. We have not sold personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the twelve months before this policy’s effective date.
Categories we collect (in CCPA terms) typically include: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); customer records (waitlist and account details); commercial information (training goals, timeline, budget, school inquiries); internet / electronic activity (site usage); and geolocation at a city or IP-derived level. If you create an account, we collect login credentials (email and password). Under California law those credentials are sensitive personal information. We use them only to authenticate you, not to infer characteristics about you. We do not collect Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, or financial account numbers on the public site.
How to make a request. Email propbrief@polsia.app with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us whether you want to access, correct, or delete your information. We may need to verify that the request comes from you (for example by confirming control of your email). You may use an authorized agent; we may still need to verify your identity and the agent’s authority.
We will respond within the time California law requires.
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) also lets residents ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. We do not sell personal information for third parties’ direct marketing.
11. Other U.S. state rights
Residents of certain other states have similar rights to access, delete, or opt out of sale. We honor those requests the same way: email propbrief@polsia.app. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no separate “Do Not Sell” toggle to turn off.
12. International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
13. Changes
This product is in an early test and this policy may change. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will also try to notify account holders or recent waitlist contacts by email when practical.
14. Contact and deletion
Privacy and deletion requests: propbrief@polsia.app
To delete a waitlist submission or account and related personal information we control, email that address from the email you used and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when the request is complete, subject to the retention limits in Section 7.
